The day of independence from Spain is November 28, 1821. The day of independence from Colombia is November 3, 1903. Panama covers an aerea of 2,800 kilometers. The total area is 29,157 square miles. A mountain range with peaks exceeding 8,000 feet forms the back bone of our coutry with an "S" lying.
