Cecilia and Rita Cecilia (Owner of Mola Art & Craft) in Aligandi, San Blas Islands, Panama

The Kunas Indians, a short, stocky people of great simplicity and charm. whose ancestors peoples these shores long before Columbus landed. They have maintained their own economic system, language, custome and culture. The pattern of their lives is simple and comfortable. They live on tiny, fringed Islands, hundreds of which dot the surface of the blue and esmerald sea. The islands are totally free from snakes and have a perfect breeze-coleed tropical climate. Their Islands are an autonomous province with minimal interference from the National Government. The Kunas doesn't have much, they do not have luxury like we do (TV, Video games, etc).
